Can we just be thankful we live in the future?
While getting off my flight in Newark (and the plane was actually 15 minutes early), a guy behind me was rather impatient and kept saying, “Oh come on!” So I started laughing at him. He said, “You laughing at me?”
I replied, “Yeah, I think it’s funny that you’re impatient to end an hour and forty minute trip that used to take weeks.”
He says, “Oh that’s real nice.”
I then helped no fewer than three ladies get their bags out of the overhead bins, futher delaying him by almost two minutes.
I checked in to all my flights from my phone, and showed a boarding pass on my phone. I traveled a thousand miles in a morning, a trip that used to require a weeks long trip on a fucking sail boat. Jeez. When did I become the positive one?
